Girls to Women Mentoring Greater Washington is a dedicated nonprofit organization along with Boys to Men Mentoring Greater Washington committed to empowering young women in the Greater Washington area through mentorship, education, and community engagement. We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to thrive, develop her potential, and achieve her dreams.
Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire and support girls ages 13 to 18 by connecting them with positive role models and mentors. We aim to foster a supportive environment where young women can explore their interests, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Through mentorship, we strive to create pathways to academic success, personal growth, and future leadership.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every young woman has access to the guidance and resources, she needs to navigate the challenges of adolescence and adulthood. By empowering girls, we contribute to building a more equitable society where women are represented and successful in all areas of life.
Our Programs
We offer a variety of programs designed to meet the unique needs of our mentees:
Mentorship Program: We offer a circle base program (primarily in middle and high schools) for girls with female role models from various professional backgrounds, providing guidance, support, and encouragement.
Workshops & Seminars: We host educational workshops covering topics such as leadership development, financial literacy, college readiness, and self-esteem enhancement.
